Why do I need Marketing Mentoring?

Great question!

The simple answer is that people with Mentors and Coaches achieve more; all of the most successful people I know have a coach, a mentor or someone to guide and support them. With my Marketing Mentoring service I focus on helping you come with ideas and give the confidence and skills to put them into practice.

I have a coach. And he is amazing. What’s interesting is that what my coach tells me is often the same as what my husband tells me. But I listen to my coach, I don’t always listen to my husband, even though he’s my business partner!

You probably have friends and family who give you advice and try to guide you; but how much do you listen to them and act on what they say?

With a marketing mentoring you’re investing time, money and energy into working with a professional; these things alone make you more committed to achieving your goals.

Also, it’s the truth to say that Marketing is one of the most important things you should be doing for business each day. Maybe THE most important thing (who doesn’t want more customers who spend more and buy more often…). But I know from years of working with businesses that marketing is also usually the thing which gets pushed to the bottom of the to-do list, the one thing we think we can leave until tomorrow…

If you’re serious about your getting better at your marketing then now is the time to start working on it. If you can’t do that alone then chat to me about becoming your marketing mentor.

What’s the difference between a Marketing Coach and a Marketing Mentor?

I’m a Marketing Mentor rather than a Marketing Coach. It’s important you choose the right sort of person for you; Coaches and Mentors are different.

Mentoring is a more softly, softly approach which is driven by you. I do plenty of listening, encouraging and guiding to help you find your own answers. People who respond to mentoring will do really well with this approach. Think Kirstie Allsopp and you get the idea; encouraging people to see flaws or the potential in their new homes, but never telling them what they should or shouldn’t do.

Coaching is a butt kick. It’s a much tougher, more driven, much less forgiving process. I have a coach but I’m a mentor! Think Jillian Michaels, the kick ass trainer from Biggest Loser, and you get the idea.

That said, with me you will still often have deadlines and homework and you most certainly need to be committed to transforming your marketing and be committed to putting in the time and effort because I’m not going to doing it for you!

Marketing Mentoring is a softer approach but it is still hugely powerful. I’m in your corner, rooting for you and knowing how much you can achieve.

Can I afford Marketing Coaching?

Marketing Mentoring and Marketing Coaching is designed to be affordable and will reap the rewards when you put the ideas into practice. I have a really simple pricing policy of £50 per hour of coaching. And don’t forget that I also offer group marketing support via my #MarketingForMummies courses which are only £99 for a whole month of support.

If you live in the North East you might also be eligible for some NBSL funding and I am a registered provider.

You can book any amount of support, however I find clients will often choose one of the following:

2 hours of Marketing Support

  • £100
  • 2 hours with me: this can be split to best suit you (i.e. 2 x 1 hour sessions, 4 x30min sessions)
  • You can also use some of the 2 hours for me to work on developing your ideas.
  • Complimentary email support
  • We can meet in person and/or chat via phone/Skype

This is the best package for you if you need a short, sharp intensive boost of ideas and/or support. You come to my Consett office or we can talk on the phone or Skype.

I generally find two hours of support works well for mentoring; where clients need a sounding board and a confidence boost in their own ideas.

5 hours of Marketing Support

  • £250
  • 5 hours with me: this can be split to best suit you (i.e. 5 x 1 hour sessions or a mix of 1 hour and 45min sessions).
  • You can also use some of the 5 hours for me to work on developing your ideas.
  • Complimentary email support
  • We can meet in person and/or chat via phone/Skype

This is the best package for you if you need ongoing support. Maybe you’re new to business and need some hand-holding with your marketing,or maybe you’re ready to grow and need specific ideas to achieve that growth.

I generally find that five hours of support works really well for coaching. We have time to develop your marketing goals and push you towards achieving them.

This sounds great, but I still don’t have any ideas for my Marketing!

Don’t worry! That’s why choosing me as your Marketing Coach or Marketing Mentor is a great choice.

I truly believe that once you have ideas then marketing your business becomes a whole lot easier. But I also know that lots of people struggle with the ideas, so before we start any coaching or mentoring package we always spend time working on developing some practical, hands-on, easy to implement ideas.

Once you have the ideas marketing simply becomes something you need to be consistent and persistent with (when you work with me or come to a seminar you’ll hear me use these words an awful lot). To get to stage where you are doing your marketing in a persistent and consistent fashion you need to decide if you’d be better with a coach (Jillian Michaels) or mentor (Kirstie Allsopp).
